Hi! I enlisted in the national guard in 2000 and got into West Point starting in 2002. When I got into West Point I was honorably discharged from the National Guard. I also didn’t get the second half of my bonus. I think there is a regulation saying you can leave the National Guard to go to a Service Academy.
