Using the MPLAB-X menu : File -> Import -> Hex/Elf. select the hex file, MPLAB-X will create a "project " and open it. Menu: Window -> Target Memory Views -> Program Memory and also Configuration bits. In the memory views you can export text files with the data. Make sure the Program Memory window is in "Code " format rather than Hex.
