Dec 22, 2022 · Super Smitty Sled After checking out the designs on MS & on the Internet, I decided to build a Smitty Sled for my donated Shappell FX50. The frame design I landed on allows the Jet Sled to fit into it rather than sit on top as I didn’t want to take the Jet Sled out of the frame or monkey around with tie down straps needed for a sit on top style frame.

It pulls apart and 4 inch bolts stick out of the bottom of the 2x4's. I drilled holes in the top of the 2x6's. The 2x4's just drop into place in the aformentioned holes and are held by gravity/friction.
