Transient & Guest. UGA is glad to welcome transient and guest students to Athens, Griffin, Tifton-based or online courses during the Summer term. UGA transient students must be currently enrolled “in good standing” at another college or university. There are some limitations to UGA transient admission: Enrollment is only for one term.

Many students apply to transfer after their freshman year due to having 15 or more hours of AP credit or DE credit from HS, and with Fall semester work, this adds up to 30 hours or more. Others will apply for Spring term after 1.5 yrs at another institution. Still others apply after 2 years at another college. First-Year The Common App is the only application platform accepted for Fall First-Year applications. Students wishing to apply for the Spring semester can only apply through our Institutional Application. My grades were excellent, but my ACT score was 28. Its more difficult to prepare for the ACT when studying outside the USA. In any case, I believe if I took the ACT again, I could score better, likely up to 30 or higher. UGA will only review academic work that is completed and sent to our office by the deadline.
